“My sister was a nurse at the newer building when I was young (she’s 15 years older than me) so I got to know the buildings pretty well when I was young, and it was always…creepy to say the least. Then as a teenager, her boys were in the daycare program there, and I’d often go to pick them up. I was never comfortable, but still so incredibly fascinated with the building, but I always felt, “watched”. My youngest nephew would tell me about seeing things, hearing things, but the staff would tell him it was his imagination.

So, in October 2010 my nephew and I had been telling my boys about the building, so I decided to drive them out, walk around the outside. The previous owners were there, and offered us a tour (at a cost) it was around 3pm, not some scary midnight hour. We experienced cold spots, temp changes, etc. Heaviness, but nothing concrete – ’till the end! Near the receptionist window, as we were chatting, I walked into a room where they had just opened up a very pretty staircase. 4 of us walked in, my boys left, and the lady giving the tour was around 12 feet from me when I decided to leave, and as I was walking my hair got tugged – HARD. I hesitated, then walked on. Once out of the room, the lady said “she pulled your hair didnt she” I said how could you know that? She said that she saw my hair get tugged and that it had happened a few days ago as well. We checked all around where I was to make sure nothing else could’ve tugged at my hair, and couldnt find a thing. Well, that left us all very excited. Also, I had my phone with me during this tour, and kept the force flash on. It took pics in every single room, even in the pitch black. Until the bowling alley. It would NOT flash in there. I tried several times. However, started up again as soon as I left that room.

So, fast forward a year, and we’re still talking about it, and my husbands company was working on the King House. So, we went in there (that place…..well, there’s something there) Anyways, we walk over and a few guys from your group were there, and offered us another tour!! I was very excited, my husband had never been in the building. Now, the guys had finished an investigation the night before, which may explain why I experienced so much more on this trip. We walked around several places, and we had just come out of the cage, and as I was looking down the hallway, I saw a very tall, full body apparition. Seemed to be a man, but he was gone before anyone else could see. I hate not having that confirmation. Next experience, was down going into the bowling alley. We were outside the door, discussing the boiler room, and I was stating that I would not be going in there, I didnt like it. My youngest son was holding my hand (he’s 12) and kept tugging at the back of my shirt tail, like a little kid would do. Over and over. I said, my goodness Evan, I’ve got you. It was at that time, that I realized, I was holding BOTH of his hands, there was no way it was him tugging my shirt. In hindsight, he hasnt tugged at my shirt like that since he was a little guy so I shouldve realized it wasnt him to begin with. I have heard of a little girl being down there….I really believe it was her. I can almost still feel it,,,and as a mom it really tugs at my heart.

Now, that same boy, Evan, tells me after we left, that one room we went into, which I was told used to be the headmasters room, he said that when he walked past the closet his chest hurt, like someone was pushing on it. He said it stopped almost instantly when he walked out of the room. I asked why he didnt tell us in there, and he said he didnt think anyone would believe him. He’s not one for “stories” so yeah, I believe him.

Due to my complete obsession with this building, I had to come to your amazing haunted house….now, we were led thru the tunnel, which I hate. The one with the doors on one side, and you have to step to the opposite side to not hit the soft spots. I was wondering, did you have someone set up in there “growling”……at the time I assumed it was fake, but it was incredibly strange. It honestly didnt sound like a person, or a recording. So if it was a haunted house effect, great job. If it wasnt….wow.
